These tyres are fitted to a work vehicle in which i get to clock up many k s every week. When I first saw them fitted I feared the worst, but, they are surprisingly good. Especially for their price. Performance wise they are among the best budget tyres that have been fitted. Previous tyres were Continental Conti Comfort 5 s, which despite many okay reviews I found to be bouncy, noisy, soft in the sidewall and not pleasant to drive on. The Provatos have fine steering response, great grip, less bounce and better overall road-holding than the CC5 s. Wear rate is acceptable and wet grip is very good. Considering the price, the Provato Greens overall performance is admirable.Read more

I only noticed this when I started aquaplaning and spinning my wheels on wet roads (in slow stop start traffic).Read moreSimilar opinion? Write a review!

Safety issue with these tyres 235/45R17 Bought these tyres through a tyre work shop/business as brand new and they fitted them. They lasted 8000 miles/ three months. They replaced both tyres.. still charged equivalent to a third on the next set. They recommended/wrote on the invoice that I check again in less than 8000miles. I use my car for business (have a log book etc). Would be good to upload the photos to this site of the tyres. I don t do burnouts. Over 80% of my driving is on freeways. The rest around town. Less than 20 miles with a trailer. Warning avoid this tyre type!!!
Lucky I had a car service/oil change and that this was spotted or I wouldn t have considered checking the tyres myself at 8000miles. Big safety issue if you have these tyres.Read moreSimilar opinion? Write a review!

Cheap and does the job! Bought a pair (235/45/R17) in Nov 2016 for my Skyline R33. Been through the wet as well as completely dry seasons. Been through the wet as well as completely dry seasons. Have not done a full high speed in wet but I do feel confident with it at 130 km/h in the dry (the limit here is 130 km/h). The compound feels soft so the pair probably need changing pretty soon if done hard (skids, burnouts) but then again, what tyres aren t? Not a single leak yet since last year, despite the terrain we have here in NT. Hard corners in both wet and dry are fine too. Have yet to lose grip when taken hard (to my standard).
It was a bargain at $95 per piece inc. installation at that time and I was desperate to replace the almost dead Nankangs for the rear. If I am getting the same price as last year then most definitely I ll be changing the Nankangs on the front with this pair.Read more
