Hancook tyres on Subaru Impreza
These tyres were good in the dry, but what tyre isn't? Tyre wear was good, though they scrubbed the fronts. That's probably not the fault of the tyre though, more the fault of the car. I've had that with all the tyres we've had on this car. In the wet these tyres are woeful. They give up too easily and when they go, they go quickly. I replaced the fronts with pirellis as they were pretty badly scrubbed, and left the hancooks on the rear as they still had a lot of tread. The first time we went around a roundabout in the wet the fronts held on but the backs let go. I have never had the rear let go in this car and I drive it like an idiot, a lot. I ended up giving up and replacing the rears as well despite having a lot of tread left. I have hancook all terrains on my pajero, and they are reasonable off road, good for an all terrain, and pretty good on the road. But these optimos are rubbish.

Ideal country driver tyre
These tyres went on the weekend before a trip from Vic to central Qld and back. Compared to the Bridgestones that came with my Jeep, these tyres are a lot quieter and feel that they handle even better. It improved the feel of my vehicle on all surfaces; our roads aren’t in very good condition, so having tyres that feel like they are gripping in all conditions is important. Fuel efficiency improved compared to the old tyres, and so far (12,000 kms) they appear to be wearing well.

Very disappointing.
Barely got 30,000 kms out of these tyres. They were sold to me as a mid range tyre and I really expected more. My previous tyres on the same vehicle went for about 55,000 kms. I drive my car fairly conservatively and my Hancook tyres were treated no differently to the previous ones on my car. I am disappointed and would not buy Hancock again.

Great Tyre for a small car
Have only just purchased these, but can already feel the difference on the road. I don t travel far or at high speeds on a daily travel, but there are lots of corners and stops on my route. These tyres feel safe and stable, and for the price point are highly recommended.

Great tyres at a good price
Recenty put these tyres on my 2014 Forester XT. Very smooth and quiet ride on all road surfaces from day one. Great handling in all weather. Lifetime free puncture repairs from the tyre dealer as well. Much better than the Bridgestones that came with the car originally. Would recommend to anyone driving an SUV in urban conditions.

Best set of tyres I have owned
My Kia Sportage came with the 426s and I have put 80 000 kms on the set before replacing. In that time I traveled 50,000 kms between the gippsland and melbourne daily and 3 trips to Broken Hill. They are fantastic tyres. I would say that the road noise from them is a bit on the loud side, but they equally could be the sound proofing in my car as well. However, a very good well rounder.

12000km and need new ones
Had these tyres for a few months and they have super poor handling on the highway.. After 10000 I noticed chunks coming out from driving on a dirt road. Dealer said it was because of my tyre pressure which is maintained to 40psi monthly. Don t feel comfortable with these on my car and I m looking forward to going back to Bridgestone tyres.

OK, I guess
I got these because JAX screwed up my order and put these on instead of the HP2. They didn t have any HP2 in stock so decided to give these to me instead without me asking, and I only found out after they had already put them on. I didn t have time to come back so I m stuck with them. They are OK for the job I guess. I have them on a 3.6R Subaru Outback, which gives a ton of grip due to it s AWD system. However, I can still feel the rear tyres slipping when going around some corners, especially in the wet. They wear well and are quiet, but I personally won t buy them again. They would probably more suitable for more casual drivers who want decent enough grip and a long lasting quiet tyre, but there just isn t enough grip for me.

worst tyre ever
noisy from the time they were installed. can feel every bump and imperfection on the road...never again. these were recommended by the tyre retailer. have taken back twice to see what could be done, retailer has blamed buckled rims and worn bearings.. had everything checked by a mechanic using dial indicator. but mechanically the car is perfect.. Tyres, cant wait to change them..ed

Excellent - quiet and smooth ride. Good grip
Used it to replace the incredibly excellent Yokohama A series tyres on our Honda Jazz, for nearly half the price. 175-65-14s. For some reason the A-Drive and these Hankooks work really well with the Jazz. Way better ride and noise than the Michellin XM2 which I had temporarily but couldn t stand the bumping and noise, even with lower tyre pressure.

Great tyres!
I purchased a second set of hankooks after some great results with another set on my partners car. They were on the cheaper end of the scale, however, I have been very happy with them. They handle wet and dry very well and drive quietly which allows for a smooth ride.

Worst tire ever
I purchased a pair from JAX Coffs Harbour for my front 2.5 years ago and they were great. But 18 months ago purchased another pair from JAX Coffs Harbour and put the first pair to the rear. 2 months ago felt a tremor in the steering wheel at 100-110 Km so booked the car in for an alignment. They phoned me up to say the front tires were falling apart and needed urgent replacement. They had my car up on the hoist as yes both of the new front tires had large fish scale sized chunks falling off on the tread all around. They had never seen anything like it and neither have I. So took the car To JAX Coffs Harbour where the owner/manager [name removed] inspected them as did his office manager and both had to agree they were faulty...but I had to purchase another set of the same tire at full price to replace them and in 28 days time the HANKOOK rep would pick them up and they would be taken back to the factory (China?) for assessment and a pro rata refund would somewhere in the future be given. Well I wasn t going to put the same brand of tire back on my car so went to Bob Jane where 2 new tires were put on no hassle. I will never shop at JAX tires again and never trust my life with HANKOOK tires. The original pair on the back are in great shape and I ll get another 1.5 years of use out of them. I can t believe I m the only person who purchased this faulty batch, I can t believe HANKOOK didn t do a total recall on this faulty batch. Just bad business from both JAZ and HANKOOK.

Great Tyres
This is the second set of Hankook tyres I have recently purchased, While these have only been on the car for 4 weeks, the biggest difference noted is that the road noise appears to be less than that with the previous tyres. There is no noticable impact on the performance of the car, compared to previous tyres.
